Hans van Soldt from Antwerp in 1577, probably after the plundering of Antwerp (1576). After 1605, they must have moved to Amsterdam, where he worked for the East Indian Company. The manuscript with the virginal music, however remained in London.. it once was owned by the same owner, who also owned the My Lady Nevell's Booke. The first pieces are probably written in the Netherlands, while some English music is added in the London period, with remarks by hear keyboard teacher.
